Print Studio

Iberê Camargo´s print studio continues to function through the Print Studio Invited Artist Programme. It is coordinated by Eduardo Haesbaert, who was Iberê Camargo´s printer for four years, and every year receives artists, who do not need to be printmaking specialists, to work for one week producing an intaglio print.

The studio has hosted 48 artists since the start of the project in 1999. The artists are chosen by the Foundation´s Curatorial Board and are given guidance and technical support for their work as well as being able to use all the resources available in the studio. 60 copies are taken from the plates produced, with half the edition remaining with the artist and the other half becoming part of the Iberê Camargo Foundation´s print collection. A open public meeting, in which the artists discuss their work, is also organised.

By 2008 the following artists had taken part in the project: Alex Flemming, Alvaro Siza, Amilcar de Castro, Anna Letycia, Annabella Geiger, Antonio Dias, Arthur Piza, Beatriz González, Beth Campbell, Cabelo, Carlito Carvalhosa, Carlos Martins, Carlos Pasquetti, Carlos Vergara, Carlos Zílio, Carmela Gross, Cláudio Mubarac, Cristina Canale, Daniel Senise, Darel Valença Lins, Eduardo Costa, Eduardo Sued, Elaine Tedesco, Elisa Bracher, Evandro Carlos Jardim, Fábio Miguez, José Resende, Karin Lambrecht, Leon Ferrari, Lia Menna Barreto, Liliana Porter, Lucia Koch, Luis Carlos Felizardo, Marco Buti, Mauricio Guillen, Mauro Fuke, Marco Maggi, Mario Carneiro, Mary Dritschel, Miguel Rio Branco, Nelson Felix, Nelson Leirner, Pablo Chiuminatto, Paulo Brusky, Paulo Pasta, Regina Silveira, Ricardo Basbaum, Rochelle Costi, Siron Franco, Tomie Ohtake, Vera Chaves Barcellos, Walmor Corrêa, Waltercio Caldas, Xico Stockinger.
