• Moves to new studio at Rua das Palmeiras, Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro. Teaches painting at the Galeria Municipal de Arte, in Porto Alegre. This course is the origin of the Ateliê Livre da Prefeitura Municipal de Porto Alegre, focused on art education.
• Teaches Intaglio print course in Montevideo, with his treatise on printmaking published in Spanish.

• Teaches painting to inmates at Porto Alegre Penitentiary, with the artist Maria Tomaselli Cirne Lima. Takes part in exhibition of paintings in the lobby of the Banco do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, with works from five students from the Penitentiary course.
